How to play Kuroshuto

Kuroshuto Puzzle Rules:

Fill in some empty cells with black to complete the puzzle.

  • Numbers within the grid indicate the number of black cells exactly that distance away. Distances are measured orthogonally (horizontally or vertically).

  • No two black cells can be placed next to each other horizontally or vertically.

  • All white cells must be connected.

Kuroshuto ("Kurochute"; from Japanese, literally "black shot") is a logic puzzle invented by Nikoli.
