Classic Sudoku

Sudoku is a logic puzzle that is played on a 9x9 grid, divided into 9 smaller 3x3 grids. The goal of the game is to fill in the empty squares with the numbers 1 to 9, so that each row, column, and 3x3 grid contains each of the numbers exactly once.

In other words, no number can appear more than once in any row, column, or 3x3 grid.

The game is played by filling in the empty squares with the numbers 1 to 9. Some of the squares may already be filled in, and the player's goal is to complete the puzzle by filling in the remaining squares.

There are many different strategies for solving Sudoku puzzles. One common strategy is to start with the numbers that are already given and use them to eliminate possible numbers from the other squares. For example, if a number appears only once in a row, then it must be the missing number in that square.

Another strategy is to look for patterns in the numbers that are already given. For example, if a number appears in two of the three rows in a 3x3 grid, then it must also appear in the third row.

Sudoku puzzles can be solved using a variety of tools, such as pencils and erasers, Sudoku grids, and online Sudoku solvers.

Here are some tips for solving Sudoku puzzles:

  • Start by looking for clues in the existing numbers.

  • Look for patterns in the numbers.

  • Use elimination to rule out impossible numbers.

  • Be patient and persistent. Sudoku puzzles can be challenging, but they are also very satisfying to solve.
