How to play Diagonal sandwich sudoku

Diagonal Sandwich Sudoku is a variation of Sudoku that adds two additional rules to the standard rules of Sudoku:

  • The numbers 1 to 9 must also appear in the two diagonals of the puzzle, without repetitions.

  • The highest and lowest digit on these diagonals may not repeat but all other digits may, as long as it does not break other rules.

This means that there are now a total of 108 cells in the puzzle, and each number from 1 to 9 must appear exactly once in each row, column, diagonal, and 3x3 block.

As you can see, the puzzle has two diagonals, each of which contains the numbers 1 to 9. The numbers 1 to 9 must appear exactly once in each diagonal, and the highest and lowest digit on these diagonals may not repeat.
Diagonal Sandwich Sudoku is a more challenging puzzle than regular Sudoku, but it can also be more rewarding. If you are looking for a challenge, then Diagonal Sandwich Sudoku is a great option.
Here are some tips for solving Diagonal Sandwich Sudoku puzzles:

  • Start by looking for clues in the existing numbers. For example, if a number appears only once in a row, then it must be the missing number in that row.

  • Look for patterns in the numbers. For example, if a number appears in two of the three rows in a diagonal, then it must also appear in the third row.

  • Use elimination to rule out impossible numbers. For example, if a number appears in a row and a column, then it cannot also appear in the corresponding diagonal.

  • Be patient and persistent. Diagonal Sandwich Sudoku puzzles can be challenging, but they are also very satisfying to solve.
